Troubleshooting Guide
Step-by-step solutions for the most common scenarios. If your issue isn't listed here, our Support team is ready to help.
Installation & Licensing
- Double-check the licence key — copy it directly from your Workspace to avoid typos.
- Ensure your device has an active internet connection. QuickSecure contacts
api.corxor.comover HTTPS (port 443) during activation. - If you are behind a corporate firewall or proxy, whitelist
*.corxor.com. - Verify you haven't exceeded the device limit for your plan (Personal: 3 devices).
- If the problem persists, deactivate a device from your Workspace and try again.
- Make sure you are running Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
- Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator.
- Temporarily disable third-party antivirus software that may block the installer.
- If SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info → Run anyway.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the Security section — you should see a message about QuickSecure being blocked.
- Click Open Anyway and authenticate with your macOS password.
- Ensure you are signed in with the same CORXOR account used to purchase the licence.
- Check that you haven't reached your device limit (Personal: 3 devices).
- On Android, make sure background data is allowed for QuickSecure.
- On iOS, confirm that Settings → VPN & Device Management shows the QuickSecure profile as active.
- Try signing out and back in within the app.
Performance
Full system scans are CPU-intensive by design but should settle once the initial scan completes. To reduce impact:
- Open QuickSecure settings and enable scan throttling — this limits CPU usage to a configurable percentage.
- Schedule full scans for off-peak hours (e.g., overnight or during lunch).
- Exclude known-safe directories (e.g., game libraries, media folders) from full scans.
QuickSecure is optimised for mobile battery life, but initial setup may consume more power. After the first scan:
- Background scans will only run while the device is charging or idle.
- Ensure you're running the latest version of the app — performance improvements ship frequently.
- On Android, avoid force-stopping the app as this causes repeated cold starts.
Detection & Alerts
- Open the alert in your SOC dashboard and review the XAI explanation to understand why the file was flagged.
- If you are confident the file is safe, click Allow to whitelist it.
- To help us improve, submit the file hash through the dashboard's Report False Positive button. Our ML team reviews submissions to refine the model.
False positives are rare but inevitable in any AI system. Each report makes QuickSecure smarter for the entire community through Collective Defence.
- Enable AutoPilot mode — it automatically handles high-confidence threats and only escalates uncertain events.
- Adjust confidence thresholds in settings to match your risk tolerance.
- Use the Suppress similar option on low-severity, recurring alerts.
- Open the SOC dashboard and find the blocked event.
- Review the XAI explanation. If the block is a false positive, click Allow & Restore.
- Add the application's path or hash to your Allow List in settings to prevent future blocks.
- If you're on an Enterprise plan, your SOC admin can push fleet-wide allow-list policies.
Connectivity
- Check that the device has internet access and can reach
api.corxor.com. - Restart the QuickSecure service: on Windows, use
quicksecure restart; on Linux/macOS, runsudo quicksecure restart. - On mobile, ensure the app hasn't been killed by the OS battery optimiser.
- If behind a proxy, confirm that QuickSecure's traffic (HTTPS 443) is not being intercepted.
IoC databases sync automatically every few minutes. If updates seem stale:
- Manually trigger a sync from the system tray (desktop) or app settings (mobile).
- Confirm outbound connectivity to
ioc.corxor.com. - Check the QuickSecure log file for sync errors:
~/.quicksecure/logs/sync.log.
Uninstallation
Windows
Open Settings → Apps → QuickSecure → Uninstall, or run the installer again and choose Remove.
macOS
Drag QuickSecure from Applications to Trash, then remove the security profile in System Settings → VPN & Device Management.
Linux
sudo quicksecure uninstall
Android / iOS
Long-press the app icon and choose Uninstall (Android) or Delete App (iOS).
Uninstalling frees the device slot so you can activate another device on the same licence.
